Welcome to BHS Speech & Debate Team!

The BHS Speech & Debate Team is a group of talented students who compete in various forms of speaking including impromptu, broadcasting, drama, comedy, poetry, and debate. We compete throughout Illinois as a part of the IHSA Individual Events category. At Speech meets, students will be judged against their competitors in their respective event. The goal is to make it to the final round and boost the team score. Outside of tournaments, we hope to spread an awareness of literature and encourage reflection from every audience we perform for.
